The England manager has chosen to retain the same England squad that triumphed against Andorra and delivered an impressive display in Belgrade last month, leaving no room for Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden in his group for the upcoming friendly against the Welsh side and the qualifying match in the Baltic nation.

Although Phil Foden pushing for a return to the squad after rediscovering his form at Manchester City, and Bellingham having returned for Real Madrid following shoulder surgery, the head coach has opted not to selecting two of the country's most prominent attacking talents. The young midfielder has been in the starting lineup just a single time for his club since his return.

The England boss has found space for Bukayo Saka, who is back to fitness and has been restored in place of his injured Arsenal teammate the sidelined player. Jack Grealish has not received a return to the squad.

Tuchel highlighted the energy in the previous selection and appears determined to keeping the same atmosphere. The Newcastle defender, who started at the defensive flank in the 5-0 win in Serbia, has been ruled out due to a knee injury. Tuchel has opted against selecting a direct replacement for the Magpies star but has selected John Stones, who had to pull out previously. He has spoken about the centre-back's significance for the national team and has suggested using him in midfield.

There is no place for Adam Wharton, who was selected in the previous squad but withdrew due to injury and was replaced by the Milan player.

Tuchel said: “A mere three weeks since the last camp and the most recent victory, the latest display, so the question was why not bring the same group in because they set the standard. The focus now is on building routines out of it. We have unfortunately a couple of fitness issues at the moment with Livramento and Noni and we bring of course the Arsenal forward in to replace Madueke. Jarell Quansah was a late call-up previously; he will stay in camp.”
