While some may label Marvel Rivals as an Overwatch clone, developer NetEase earns praise for discovering creative ways to engage its eager and dedicated audience. Enter Lady Loki, a brand-new costume for the existing Strategist hero Loki, offering players a comics-accurate version of the Norse trickster god(dess).
Not Hela, But Loki
Despite earlier fan speculation, the previously teased Lady Loki costume is not a skin for Hela. Rather, it is a full-on visual overhaul of Loki himself, complete with fresh voiceover work. Judging by the reveal trailer, Lady Loki retains all of Loki's signature powers: Mystical Missile, Deception, and Doppelgänger. The only change is her striking new look, designed to appeal to an audience eager to spend their Lattice.
A Look and Sound in Action
Here is a glimpse at Lady Loki in action, accompanied by a taste of her VO, courtesy of voice actor Abby Trott. Notably Trott also voices Magik in Marvel Rivals.
Her dialogue and visual flair bring a new energy to the well-known kit.
A Gateway to Future Skins
With NetEase has opened the door with this gender-bent skin for Loki, the Marvel Rivals community is already considering similar swaps. Popular ideas now range from:
- Gwenpool as the upcoming Deadpool.
- Thor's alter ego Jane Foster as the God of Thunder.
- Gwen Stacy as Spider-Woman.
One pressing query remains: Does NetEase have the courage to introduce less mainstream alternate versions, such as one-time Ms. Marvel Sharon Ventura as She-Thing? That will probably depend on fan demand!
Availability Details
The Lady Loki skin will be obtainable in Marvel Rivals from January 1, 2026, at 6 p.m. PST until January 29, 2026, at 6 p.m. PST.
