Jet Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Because of Fracture in Cockpit Window

A jet carrying the US defense secretary was forced to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was discovered in the aircraft's cockpit window, per an official announcement which verified that the secretary was unharmed.

"The jet touched down in accordance with established safety measures and all passengers, among them Defense Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," a press officer stated in a online announcement.

He was traveling back from a quick journey to Brussels during the flight.

This occurrence does not mark the first occasion that a US military aircraft transporting a high-ranking official has encountered mechanical issues.

In a previous incident this year, a United States Air Force aircraft ferrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was required to head back to Washington after experiencing a mechanical fault.
