I will overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming bout.

Former twice world title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As both boxers met for the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually happening.
