Comedian and author David Walliams dropped by book publisher.
Best-selling young adult author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.
An official for the company said: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the move was made after an inquiry regarding claims about inappropriate behaviour directed at women.
The publisher has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, adding: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."
A Highly Successful Writing Journey
Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, having sold in excess of 60 million copies internationally in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
He has published in excess of 40 works in total, which features a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.

His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE several years ago for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.
This development follows the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
