Anthony Joshua Released from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Deadly Road Accident
Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, local government spokespeople stated on Wednesday night. The fighter was part of a serious road collision near Lagos on December 29th, a horrific crash that claimed the lives of two of his valued colleagues.
Healing from Light Wounds
Joshua had been under observation while healing from his light wounds, his management team stated earlier on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement on social media that Joshua was declared medically stable to leave and heal privately.
âAnthony and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two departed friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,â the commissioner stated.
Remembering the Victims
The victims of the crash were identified as Latif Ayodele, Joshua's trainer, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. It was also noted that the athlete was heartbroken and full of emotions over the tragic loss of his two close friends.â
His release from the hospital follows the global fight fans shared sympathy for the fighter in the following the devastating accident.
